DAVID GUETTA is a French house producer, singer and DJ. If you like lintening to elctronic music he is the correct person, He has worked with a variety of pop and hip-hop artists including Akon, Chris Willis, Kelly Rowland, Lil' Wayne, Kelis, Madonna, Kid Cudi,Estelle, etc. For the mixes with a lot of artists his songs are of the different styles but the electronic is the style that is in all of his songs. His songs are on the radio every day ... It`s very cool ! find his songs in youtube or ares. :D Byee, posted it.

Here is a funny video I found comparing futbol and football. It shows Reggie Bush (top USA football player) practicing with David Beckham (British futbol player). You all know that I prefer American football, but I thought that this video makes the differences between the two sports seem funny and even a little unimportant. And, at one point David Beckham speaks two words of Spanish.

You may recognize this band from the background of Shakira's Waka Waka video--FreshlyGround is a very popular band in South Africa. They are one of my favorite bands in the world, and their concert was the best performance I have ever seen. Half of their songs are in English and half are in Xhosa (a South African language).

Write for Speakerbox!

Speakerbox is looking for writers! Everyone in Segundo, Tercero, or Quarto Medio at Colegio San Marcos is encouraged to join, and select younger students are also welcome (but they must speak and understand intermediate-level English).

To join the Speakerbox team, please email your first post to meeganbrooks@gmail.com. Ms. Meegan will then add you to the website. Posts do not need to be long! For example, you can find cool stories at thecoolhunter.net, amusingplanet.com and many other blogs, and then re-post them to Speakerbox. Entries can be as short as a couple of sentences, but also much longer (some blog posts are pages long).

Speakerbox will meet after school in the computer lab, from 4-5 pm on Tuesdays. THE FIRST MEETING WILL BE THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 2 (this will be the only Thursday meeting). These meetings are not required, but Ms. Meegan will be available to edit your posts and help you find story ideas.
